Go from
to
in 19 steps ^.^

Made in PSP9 but easilly translateable.

1) The first thing you'll want to do after cropping your image (I'm using this one from BleachExile) is sharpen it.

2) Next, duplicate the layer and set the blend mode to Overlay, opacity 100%.

3) Duplicate the main base layer again, bring it to the top and set the blend mode to Screen, opacity 100%.

4) Duplicate the screen layer.

5) On the top-most screen layer, go to Adjust->Blur->Gaussian Blur and set it at '2.00'.

Note: You may want to mess/experiment with the previous steps depending on how light or dark your base picture is.

6) Create a new layer; fill it with #000042 and set it to Exclusion, opacity 100%.

7) Create a new layer; fill it with #f2d5b2 and set it to Burn, opacity 100%.

8) Create a new layer; fill it with #cfddf3 and set it to Burn, opacity 100%.

9) Create a new layer; fill it with #cfddf3 and set it to Soft Light, opacity 100%.

10) Create a new layer; fill it with #3c3c8a and set it to Overlay, opacity 100%.

11) Create a new layer; fill it with #000042 and set it to Screen, opacity 100%.

12) Duplicate the screened and blurred layer from step 5, bring it to the top, and change the blend mode to Hard Light

13) Create a new layer; fill it with #3f9aa7 and set it to Overlay, opacity 100%.

14) Create a new layer with this texture by wonderland__:
and set the blend mode to Soft Light, opacity 100%.

15) Create a new layer with this texture by sleeping_icons:
and set the blend mode to Overlay, opacity 100%.

16) Duplicate the screened and blurred layer from step 5, bring it to the top, and change the blend mode to Overlay, opacity 100%.

17) Create a new layer; fill it with #3f9aa7 and set it to Saturation, opacity 100%

18) Duplicate the main base layer, and bring it to the top; go to Adjust->Blur->Gaussian Blur and set it at '1.00'. Set this layer's blend mode to Multiply, the opacity 24. You may have to play with this layer a little.

19) Finally, add some text. I used 'ALS Script', size 11, center alignment,'Smooth' Anti-Alias, and #3f9aa7. When doing text, I usually create it as a floating selection and then move it around before creating a new layer and de-selecting with CTRL+D. The tiny text is by wonderland__.

And tuh-duh! You're done ^.^; My layers. Play around with it, some; change the colors, change blend modes.

I'd love to see your results! =D
