Base:

Step 1:

Take your base. Mine was way to dark, so at first I duplicated the base (Strg+J) and set the copy to Screen at 100% opacity.

Better, but still much too dark. So, now, we are going to use some curves.

Step 2:

Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Curves and use this settings

Set the layer to Softlight at 100% opacity

Step 3:
Again, go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Curves but this time use this settings

Leave the first point at
Input: 0
Output: 0

Second point:
Input: 8
Output: 0

Third point:
Input: 33
Output: 79

Fourth point:
Input: 63
Output: 124

Fifth point:
Input: 91
Output: 168

Sixth point:
Input: 167
Output: 254

Seventh point:
Input: 225
Output: 253

Leave the eighth point at:
Input: 255
Output: 255

Now it should look like this:

Step 4:

Now I added this gradient at Soft Light 100%.
I don’t know where I got it anymore, sorry.

But now Mac looks a little sick, so I erased the green from the face, her arm and her hand.

Step 5:
After that I added this gradient at Soft Light 65% opacity.

Step 6:

Now we’re going to add some color layers.

First: #CBEEF8
at Color Burn 100%

Second: #FFDCB9
at Multiply 60%

Third: #FFDCB9
at Color Burn 35%

Step 7:

Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Selective Color and use this settings

Reds:
Cyan: -31%
Magenta: +17%
Yellow: -28%

Yellows:
Magenta: +25%
Yellow: +25%

Greens:
Cyan: +75%
Yellow: +100%

Blacks:
Magenta: +22%
Yellow: +38%

Of course those are only the settings I used, they can and most likely will have to be different to look good, so maybe just play around a bit if you’re not used to Selective color.

Step 8:

Duplicate the base and drag it to the top of all layers. Set it to Screen 70% Opacity.

I think I sharpened that layer, but it could also be that I sharpened the first screen layer. Maybe with your picture you don’t even need the sharpening, but that really depends.

You can leave it like that if you want, but I wanted to add some text.

Step 9:

I added the very creative^^ text “huh” at 18pt, font: Cooper

Didn’t look that nice, so I added a black shadow at

Multiply 75% Opcaity

Distance 5px

Spread 0%

Size 5px

and Outer Glow at

Color burn 40% Opacity

Change the glow from light yellow to the black and white gradient

Spread: 10%

Size: 8%

Feel free to ask any question, and I would love to see your results. Also, this is my first tutorial , so please be kind ;)
