Someone requested a tutorial for this icon...so here it is.
Go from this:
to:
1. crop
2. duplicate base set to screen...flatten
3. new layer 001c32 exclusion 100%
4. new layer f3aafb soft light 100%
5. new layer 75d6f7 color burn 100%
6. duplicate base twice set both to softlight drag both to top
7. duplicate the light blue color burn layer and drag to top (you can alter the opacity on this one...just make it how you like.)
8. new layer fee7a4 multiply (the opacity can vary for this...100% or a little lower will be just fine.)
9. new layer e3e3e3 color burn (you can chose a darker or light gray than this, depending on how you would like your icon to be.) 100%
10. add text,brushes,etc.
11. flatten
and if in the end your icon looks too dark, just duplicate your base and set to screen and play with the opacity.
