This is my first tutorial ever :D
i'm from germany so my english isn't very good ;)

From this to



so let's start ;)

1. Take the base, crop it&resize it, sharpen... just do, what you are doing when you start to make an icon ;).
Here's mine:


2. Duplicate your base and set it to screen 30 %.


3. Dublicate your base again and set it to Overlay 100%


4. Create Make a new Selective Color Layer (Layer » New Adjustment Layer » Selective Color) between the Screen layer and the Overlay layer.

5. Create a new Color Balance Layer (Layer » New Adjustment Layer » Color Balance) again between the Screen layer and the Overlay layer, but above the Selective Color Layer.

Play around with the opacity a bit and you're done...
