New tutorial

How to go from
to
using PS CS2 (using Selective color, sorry)

1. Open your picture and prepare it (crop, sharp, whatever)

2. Duplicate and set the copy to soft light.

3. Make a Selective Color layer with the following settings:

Reds: C: -23; M: +17; Y: -12; B: 0
Yellows: C: +11; M: +30; Y: +15; B: 0
Neutrals: C: +38; M: -15; Y:-48

4. Make a new layer and fill it with yellow (#f5eb00). Set it to soft light, opacity - 60%. You can reduce the opacity if you don't like the result.

5. Another Selective Color layer with these settings:

Reds: C: -100; M: 0; Y: 100; B: 0

6. And again - a Selective Color layer:

Yellows: C: +31; M: +56; Y: +15; B: 0
Neutrals: C: +13; M: -15; Y:-27

7. A Color Balance layer:

Midtones: +33; -18; +20
Shadows: 0; 0; -34

It worked with all the pictures I've tried, but I'm not sure if it works with every single photo. And here comes a psd file - c l i c k
