Sienna Miller Icon Tutorial

001. Make a base by cropping an image to 100x100px.

002. Sharpen the icon by going Filter >Sharpen >Sharpen.

003. Duplicate your base twice and set both layers to screen, opacity 100%

004. Flood fill two new layers with the colour #100f28 and set the first one to exclusion, the second to screen, both with an opacity of 100%.

005. Fill a new layer with #b2edeb, and set to color burn, opacity 100%.

006. New layer, fill with #a4aad9, set layer mode to soft light, opacity 100%.

007. Another new fill layer, this time loaded with #d9a4ce, set to color burn, opacity 30%.

008. Last colour layer, this one flood filled with #e6e6e6, layer mode set to color burn, and opacity at 100%.

009. Now, merge all of your layers, copy them (CTRL+A), undo the copy and the merge (CTRL+Z), and paste the merged layer on top of all of the other layers (CTRL+V). There is an easier shortcut to this (CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+E), but I'm not sure that it works for all programs. Anyway, set this layer to color burn, opacity at 100%. Sometimes it looks better if you set it at multiply, or overlay, just see what works the best with your particular icon.
