Program;; Photoshop CS3
Translatable;; No idea :P
Difficulty;; Beginner-Intermediate, only seven steps.

Hello! I came out with another effect I really like, so here we are. We are going from:

This:
to this:

1. Prepare your base. Sharpen if needed, crop, etc.

2. Add this texture from Swimchick. Set it to overlay with 35% opacity, and move it around until the positioning looks good. This is optional. I liked my icon using the texture, and not using it. Do it both ways, and see which you like best.

3. Add a new adjustment layer for color balance. Layer - New Adjustment Layer - Color Balance

4. Set your color balance layer to the following settings:

Shadows
+20
+12
+6

Midtones
+18
-1
-12

Highlights
-25
-9
+28

5. Duplicate your base layer and drag it to the top. Set it to soft light.

6. Make a new layer, and fill it with #fcd8a5. Set it to hue at 50%.

7. Duplicate your base layer and drag it to the top. Set it to soft light.

8. And there you have it. Only seven steps!
