We'll be going from this:
 to this:

Not tranlatable, involved selective coloring and curves

Like I said, we'll be going from

 in this tutorial. Ready?! Hehe.

So I start with my cap

I then sharpened it a teensy bit, with unsharp mask.

Now to the best part, COLORING.Open a curves layer: settings are as follows

RGB Point 1: Input 69, Output 59. Point 2: Input 122, Output 131, Point 3: Input 198, Output 191. Yields you this,

New color fill layer, fill with d0471e. Set to Softlight at 30-50% opacity. Gives me this,

New selective color layer (yay).
Reds: C=+28, M=+9, Y=+47
Yellows: C=+32, M=-5, Y=+12

'Nother curves layer: settings,
Reds Point 1: Input 57, Output 74, Point 2: Input 127, Output 134, Point 3: Input 201, Output 188
Greens Point 1: Input 61, Output 68, Point 2: Input 124, Output 132, Point 3: Input 188, Output 196
Blues Point 1: Input 67, Output 56, Point 2: Input 120, Output 136, Point 3: Input 181, Output 247

'Nother sc layer,
Reds: C=+10, M=+5, Y=+6
Yellows: C=+8, M=+4, Y=-10, B=-1
I get this,

New Channel Mixer layer,
Reds: R=+92, G=+14, B=-40
And I get this,

Then I just added a texture and I put 'Frodo' in Arial.
