Ok, I know what you're thinking - "Why is she posting a challenge when we're not even half way through the week with this one yet". I promise, I have an explanation.
So, I know that we all voted a while ago to keep the challenges down to one week, every week... but when I adopted iconbenders, someone suggested that we double up the challenges, and I've been ( Read more... )

i think it's rather confusing and not very clearly stated as to how it's going to work but maybe i'm just not understanding it...lol. but basically its two challenges with two voting polls spread out over a two week period? right?

I'm not in favor of overlapping challenges. I don't think we'd gain much other than opportunities to become confused about the challenge schedules.

I agree...doubling up challenges is rather confusing D:
Maybe instead of have 2 contests going at the same time, have four challenges in one contest per week.

It'd sorta be like the Hush Icontest only you're allowed to have text.
There could be:
Challenge 1: General Theme
Challenge 2: Lyrical
Challenge 3: Non square or something random like that
Challenge 4: Icon pair theme?

Idk, that pretty much covers the icon basics xD Just a suggestion ^^;
I didn't suggest an Image Provided theme, because then it would be way too similar to the Hush Icontest xD

It's not necessarily the challenges available with each week (trust me, it takes a bit for me to think of just two original ones!).
I've just had few complaints about time restraints, but really, it looks like it will be too confusing, so I'm scratching it.

Sorry. I didn't mean to rant on your post, I'm just making this so everyone will see it :D

It's kinda like one voting on Tuesday and the second on Friday with the announcement of the first on Thursday and the second on Monday, right? Simple enough.

Ah, no, not quite that. Sorry, my mind sometimes works in a way that's tough to explain in the internets.
