Monitor Display Size Question.

Sep 29, 2008 10:30

I just found this comm so I'd thought I'd ask a question that has been bothering for a while.

Does the display size of a monitor really make that much difference with icons? Does a monitor with a display size of 1024 x 768 (that's the size of my monitor) make an icon look different than a 1280 x 1024 monitor?

Higher resolution make icons smaller in real life (if you'd measure them in cm for instance). That might make it more pixly, I'd think.

I find contrast and brightness makes more difference.

Thanks.

'I find contrast and brightness makes more difference.'
That's good to know.

Thanks.

'I'm pretty sure the quality of the moniter factors in too, cos I've been on cpmputers with the same resolutio and not much difference in brightness and contract and my icons have looked different in both. I don't know if that's quality of moniter or somethign else altogether though.'
Could be. I've heard that when you use a higher quality monitor your icons tend to look much brighter.
