very night gallery-esque or the prisoner or even outter limits. i'm fond of negative space icons though i don't use it much. my one thought is a wee bit blacker blacks and less grey shading would crispin it up a bit, but, the softness lends itself well to the icon also.

since the prompt was grey though, the grey shades work well for that.

Yes. Originally it was actually a mix of a light grey and purple monochrome icon, but then I realised it probably didn't match the prompt so I went for this softer, very grey b/w. ^^
