Harry Potter and the Fluffy-Fluff Fluff...

I understand for certain that time constraints are an issue.

But there are things that need to be considered when making a film in a series of films based on a book series with a highly developed plot and many important characters. One of them is the plot, period. This was the worst film since Goblet of Fire. Hands down.

A HALF-BLOOD PRINCE RANT: Cut for film spoilers. )

Yeah, seriously! I went to a midnight showing, all dressed up and excited and I left the theater feeling pissed ( ... )

I went to the midnight showing too, and left with a stiff neck and a vendetta. lol The sexuality was waaay played up. Granted, it would seem odd for the films to have none (or very little) and then in the seventh movie they're all making out and having kids... But still. Half would've sufficed, you're right.

Albus: "She's pretty."
Albus: "She was pretty."
Albus: "Are you and Hermione diddling?"
Albus: "Ah, young love."
Albus: "What about Ginny?"
Albus: "Ah, the sting of young love."
Albus: "OMG, TELL ME WHO YOU LOVE ALREADY! P.S. I'm gay."

I agree with everything you said.

I was especially pissed with the "Battle" of Hogwarts. You mean to tell me that every single teacher in that school was just going to let those Dark Wizards roam the hallways, endangering the castle and the students?

LOL OKAY STEVE KLOVES WHATEVER YOU SAY.

ugh, these movies :|

Thank you! I couldn't agree more. The Death Eaters didn't even make sense, running through the Great Hall, then going directly outside to burn down Hagrid's hut - why? Why any of it? lol It just didn't make sense. It was as if they didn't explain why they wanted inside the castle in the first place. And there was no reaction to them being there... Yeah. Ditto.

Yes. I agree with the things you've said.
The thing that I didn't understand was why on earth did they burn down the Weasley's house? I didn't think that was in the book...
One of the most confusing Potter films to date.
Why bother making the last film in two parts if they are going to be this vague on the storytelling. They might as well try to squish the whole book into thirty minutes and call it a film. Yay!
Thank you for sharing your opinion.
On a good note, I thought Luna was very cute. She was one of my favs in the book and on film as well. And the Twins' shop was very cute.

And that just adds to the reasons I never went and saw HBP. The entire franchise started to go down hill after the 2nd film in my opinion. Too much was taken out that needed to be there in the films to build towards the main event. I wonder how they'll screw up Deathly Hallows.
