14 :||: My train of thought to get to this icon: I was listening to Come Away by Nora Jones, and one of the lines was I want to wake with the rain falling on a the tin roof, while I'm safe here in your arms, and since iconizing the rain falling on a tin roof would be rather difficult, I went with the next lyric. XD

93 :||: In the Ancient Egyptian faith, the body was made up of two parts: The Ka, and the Ba, together, which make Akh (or life). The Ka being the physical part and the Ba being the spiritual part. Takahashi, on several occaisions suggests that Yuugi is, in fact, Atemu's Ka, because when Atemu's soul was sealed in the puzzle, he was not mummified as most Egyptians would be, because they could not preform the ceremony of the Ba on a body with no spirit (Egyptians would remove the Ba from the body by way of the deaceased's mouth, thus "The Opening of the Mouth" ceremony). Because of this, Atemu's Ka was left to wander the world because it had no tomb to be affixed to (After mumification, the body would be buried in a tomb where the Egyptians believed the Ka would reside. This is why archeologists find toys, games, food, and other such things in tombs). After 3000 years, fate descided that it would be time for Atemu to be relased, so his Ka was given form: As Yuugi. This also theory/fanon concept is also to describe the Light/Dark (Hikari/Yami) concenpt of fanon. In a way, Yuugi and Yami no Yuugi (Atemu) are literal soulmates.The text from the header image is from Possession by edmondia. The fic has to be one of the most famous Puzzleshipping works to date not to mention being one of the best written. Her other famous works include One Night in Bangkok (another Yami/Yuugi fic), and Do What You Have To Do (a Tendershipping--Yami no Bakura/Bakura Ryou fic). No fan of the Yami/Yuugi pairing can truely call themselves Puzzleshippers unless they've read the works of Edmondia Dantes. :D
