  • created in PS7.
  • deals with selective colouring & the like, therefore only translatable to other versions of Photoshop.
  • if you're a photoshop virgin, I do not recommend this tutorial.

    1) Crop your icon however you wish.

    2) Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur > 0.3px.

    3) Hue/Saturation layer:

    Master: 0, +49, 0
    Reds: 0, +7, 0
    Yellows: 0, +7, 0
    Cyans: 0, +13, 0
    Blues: 0, +43, 0

    4) Colour Balance Layer:
    MIDTONES: -3, -15, +4

    5) Selective Colour Layer:
    Reds: +100, 0, 0, 0
    Yellows: +100, 0, 0, 0
    Cyans: +100, 0, 0, 0
    Blues: +100, 0 ,0 ,0
    Whites: +100, 0, 0, 0
    Neutrals: +100, 0, -52, +67
    Blacks: +100, 0, 0, +100

    6) Curves Layer:
    RGB: 1st point> In: 70, Out: 111
    2nd point> In: 147 , Out: 185

    RED: 1st point> In: 88, Out: 96
    2nd point> In: 147, Out: 158

    BLUE: In: 77, Out: 68

    7) Selective Colour Layer:
    Reds: -100, +44, +79, +25

    8) Flatten Image.

    9) Select the whole image with the Rectangle Marquee Tool (or ctrl + a)

    10) Right click, choose Stroke

    11) Stroke:
    Width- I chose 15px, but its up to you.
    Colour- White
    Location- Center

    12) Flatten Image.
