I veered dangerously close to purchasing a pair of pet mice this evening. Their names would have been Eloise and Mathilda.

As K. pointed out, buying mice in New York City seems rather ironic.

Note to self: Do not stop into pet stores on your way home unless absolutely necessary.

Silly me. There I was thinking that lapicide probably had something to do with killing bunnies, when actually it simply means stonecutter.

Help! I just zoomed through a couple P.D. James mysteries, followed by a healthy dose of Arthur Conan Doyle, and now I'm at a loss for what to read. I could use a break from crime-solving, but otherwise I'm open to any suggestions, fiction or non-fiction.
