1. A huge pet peeve of mine is people who lack patience. Perhaps said person simply hasn't had the chance to log back onto the internet to say 'thank you' yet. Perhaps they do not have email notifications turned on (or they are messing up - again) and are not aware of your response. Of course, it's entirely possible that they are just ignoring you, but you've not provided any indication that you have any proof of this. If it is a case of them ignoring you, then yes, that does suck and I agree.
2. Definition of hotlinking - learn it. Posting a simple link to something is not the same thing, will not suck up huge chunks of your bandwidth and is considered perfectly acceptable internet etiquette. As is common politeness . . .
Ok, I don't know what I did to you, but every time I post anything here you are the first to pick it apart and point out every single thing I may have gotten wrong or whatever. Can't I just rant without having everything picked apart? I mean, really? I may not be the most articulate person in the world but I just want to get things off my chest like everyone else without having to worry about whether I'm posting 'right' or not. You really make this community such a turn off. :( Thanks but no thanks.
The first one irks me like no other, omg. I've given up on people using google before they post a question, but the lack of common courtesy boggles me (this applies to real-life-too). There's this one girl in this one community who will post a question, get an answer, and then delete said post. She's done it multiple times now, and she never says thanks or anything! It's like really?

I would have understood one comment of "yeah that would suck, but btw hotlinking actually refers to thisthisthis". lolol oh gosh, some people. I still think that the last part of the rant still stands, that's a huge pet peeve of mine. The only place I would allow hotlinking was in my actual icon journal in the tutorial request/requests post and that's just cause the same amount of people were going to see it anyway.
I don't think I'm going to rant here anymore. I just...can't seem to get it right. :/ But thanks for your understanding and willingness to see my side of things. Sometimes I just get over excited and my post comes out allllll wrong, LOL. :)
