I just took myself off that community. Once upon a time I demanded that people credit my stuff like, I don't know, like a brat commands that her daddy buy her a pony. Fortunately I've grown out of it (actually I'm done with icon making, but I mean, there are all the ones I've made and I don't care at all who takes them or why), and I realized that the whole crediting issue is bullshit, I mean it's nice if you credit me but you know I won't make you feel like shit if you don't O_O

This person apparently won't ever grow out of the credit-my-Art-or-I-shall-make-the-sky-fall-down-on-you phase, and it's quite tragic. But, entertaining!

I don't care if people credit me or not
it's just Internet stuff not my whole life
if you post them it means that you want to share your work
but password and a thousand of rules! this is tooooo much

btw I always credit people if I use their stuffs
I have a resources page
but for this girl...this is tooooo much!
she will make you feel like you've killed someone if you don't credit her

Oh, I was totally ANAL in the way I credited when I used other people's work :D
But I did it because I wanted to! It made me feel good to repay them in some way for the stuff I was using...but uh, I can understand how someone else wouldn't take the time to do it, and I wouldn't call them a bitch for it.

So in the end what I'm saying is exactly that this stuff isn't worth getting mad over! And doesn't she realize that by behaving like this she will only encourage people to be petty and not credit her just because? ^^"

actually, i've seen it happen already...she put her icon batch of like 100+icons in a passworded zip.

I just don't get it... when I make icons I actually want people to see them and am kinda grateful for everyone who takes the time to look at them. Same goes for textures and stuff.
Credit is always nice, but... it's not like you actually have anything from people writing down your name on some super long resources list or next to a 100x100 box... It's more like a "letting others know where you got it so they can get it too" kinda thing for me.

actually...I found out my resource list serves another useful purpose..when my computer reformatted, I can go and download back my resources.XP and I do it as thanks for the resource makers.

my icons, I do it as a hobby.it feels good to have been see your work and tell you that they like them..and seeing people use your work.
I do look at peoples userpics when I see that they are using a nice icon, just to track down the maker.<3
I have seen people credit the wrong person when using my icons, but 1 or 2..isn't that big a deal.I have perfer to be iconning..than killing that person for crediting wrong.-.-

why do i have to credit for some pictures you just cropped off somebody else's work?
