I have two rants related to the Livejournal strike tomorrow.

1. Yes, we get it. You think this is the most important issue ever and that everyone should be following the strike. Whatever. I don't care. Keep your off topic posts out of fandom specific graphics communities. I want to see Disney icons, Harry Potter icons, or icons for whatever the fandom is. I don't want to see an uncut, very long post about the strike with a few strike-related icons. When you post a capslock rant at the end of the post about all the people telling you the post doesn't belong, you look like even more of an idiot.

2. To mods of certain graphics communities. Shocking, I know, but not everyone is planning to follow the strike. It is one thing if the community is already on moderated posting and you aren't accepting posts tomorrow. To specifically set the posting to moderated just for the duration of the strike so people can't post is increadibly lame. News flash. I, and plenty of others, don't care about the strike. To stop us from posting when normally posting is open is forcing your views and decisions on us. That isn't the way open communities are supposed to work. Please stop assuming everyone wants to follow the strike.

Argh. This thing is just annoying me so much. I'm tempted to make several posts tomorrow just because I'm so frustrated about seeing this everywhere.
