I think it's because images are hard to come by; generally, one needs to do the scans oneself. And I don't have a scanner anymore, just some saved images from The Kindly Ones that ghostintheshell did back when we worked together in college. But I definitely plan to do more as I find pics to work with. ;)

It is hard to find good pictures. I'm an icon maker as well, and have tried to find them, and it's tough.

Looking forward to more Sandman icons. The artwork in The Kindly Ones is my favorite from the entire series. :)

I also love the Li'l Endless illustrations by Jill Thompson, though I haven't been able to find good images from it for icons. :/
