This community was originally created to serve Icon-Search.com, a directory for icon journal POSTS. It started out pretty well, but at some point we had to face the fact that it was a really idealistic idea, and even with all those motivated people helping out there was just NO WAY that we would have been able to archive all icon posts on LJ unless ( Read more... )

Oh wow. The new layout is stunning, I love the brush used.

And I'm loving the Liv icons you nominated. So exciting! Hopefully, there'll be some more noms this time.

Hi, just thought i'd let you know that my journal airlei is not an icon journal... I occasionally do interst icons for my flist and I just post them there. My public icon posts are over at . Just thought i'd give you the heads up. (;

thanks for letting me know. sometimes a journal just slips through *lol* I have already friended grarpirates, but some of the icons your posted at airlei are so damn great I might have to nominate one or two at iawards!!!

What a fantastic idea! I'll definitely be using this for super_awards.

If you wanted to I also have a icon community iconsby_spuzz that you could add, again if you wanted to.

it's already on the list. May I give you an advice though? I know it's your journal and it's totally up to you how you run it, but I noticed that people tend to visit icon posts that have teaser icons for them to see more often than those where they don't know what to expect - especially on such a long list of icons like the iconwatch friends list a post with only a link but no icons can get lost easily :(
