I have a pair of size 40 that you could have if your feet wouldn't swim in them. I've only worn them a few times. Too big?

Oh, you are a doll (as ever). But no, WAY too big for me, alas. :) I am so grateful you thought of me--thank you for the offer! And we miss you.

I just had to send mine back to Dansko because the canvas ripped and the rubber part on the right foot started to tear. But there were obscenely comfortable.

Interesting. I have a pair in 37, and that's exactly what they're doing (thus why I want a new pair to replace them), but I assumed it was because I'm technically not that size due to width--the wear is right along the widest parts of my feet. The pair I have in khaki, same size, bought at the same time, isn't doing that, but I figured that was because I don't wear those as often.

I suspect that's why they discontinued them. I'm waiting on a pair of replacement shoes, probably an all-leather mary jane.

See, I really love the canvas, especially that mary jane styling; it gives me an option for something slightly cooler in miserable summer weather. I did buy a pair of the Veda, which is sneaker-style, in black in the correct size to act as my new "work" shoes (for the aquarium), but they're not as cute as the Valerie. Sucks that they aren't sturdy enough.
