It hadn't occurred to me that this could be seen as an ending to 'For The Wars', actually! This Robert is so very much more hopeless. After I came up with this I felt so guilty and I think that's where 'For The Wars' came from - I still love screwed-up Robert far too much for it to be healthy, but I do still sort of want him to get better.
