On the subject of forgetting about instruments existing...
When i was in 8th grade, me, the bassoon and the two bass clarinets were forgotten on a playing test. We never took it.

There was a playing test or two in 8th grade I was never asked to take and recieved A's on. Actually, that's happened more recently. Like, nineth grade too. And there's several graded chair placement tests that I've just not done and gotten an A on and first chair. hehe

Haha, Mr. Nilsen was old. He was such a goofy little man. We didn't even take playing tests in my eighth grade band class. He just gave us all A's.
