Drabbling

The last few days I have been having electric problems in my area and yesterday I read two books and wrote two drabbles before 2 pm. I know I am weird. Anyway... I am not too sure that my drabbles are any good. I have been told I have problems with tense but I really have no idea how to fix it. Eh no matter. I am going to post  them both to FF.net

Hey Icy, hope you don't mind me commenting. I was having a real problem with tenses when I was writing Tar-Xan - just kept changing from present to future and back again with no rhyme or reason, and it made my writing stink (to put it politely).

laazikat helped me by sending me one chapter with my words and the correct tense word so I could see where I was going wrong. And witchway made a suggestion that saw me through my biggest fic today, Defender. I post it locked to my journal so I get the satisfaction of it being done. Then I leave it for a day. Then I go back and re-read it out loud, seeing if it makes sense and stays in the same tense. I use semagic for editing which does all the formatting for me, and also changes the post but allows you to keep editting so no constant back and forth. And it really really worked!.

Anyway, just a suggestion!

P.S. Both of my kids adore MirrorMask although it gives me major nightmares *g*

Wow that sounds like a great idea. I don't know if I know anyone that could help with the tense part but I will be sure to reread them. I think that I will also do that to my original work. Thank you for the ideas. Good luck with all of your future works.
