"Chaud?" he whispered softly. "I brought him." He had already resolved to tell Enzan if the blue-haired teen chickened out, but he wanted to give him a chance first.

Chaud lifted his head with tears in his eyes, but didn't say anything.
Enzan sighed and knelt down next to him. "So you're the one who has to tell me something, hm? Why am I not surprised?" He attempted a small grin. "So...what is it?" Chaud just shook his head strongly.

Chaud made an odd choking noise in his throat. "Don't call me that, Enzan. It almost makes me regret what I have to say here..."
Enzan looked like he might object, but clamped his mouth shut.
"I...I...thought I was in love with you," Chaud said slowly. "But while I've been in here, I've had some time to think, and I realize Blues was right. I mistook my mental links. I'm not in love with you. I'm in love with Proto. And I told him I wasn't." His head drooped. "I...still want to be your friend, though."
