They're fairly commonplace, but they tend to waver in terms of intensity.

Then there isn't a steady progression. Hm. Would you classify the patterns as random, or would you say that there's a method to predicting them?

Something big like this usually happens only after a minor...event.

Ah, then something small followed by something more significant, and then a rest period. It almost seems as though we're being tested.
