I love the internal Mudd server! I was just shown it last night and it is wonderful. I can download movies/songs/games/anything from other peoples computers that they have shared and there's a huge library that people have. You can get almost anything and with the lightening fast connection speeds I can get a movie in about 20 minutes. I just got ( Read more... )

I don't know what elvish font you're talking about really, but I know that Ringbearer is one font that's from LotR, but I'm not sure if it's the one you're looking for. It's nice having a fast network connection, now all I need is more hard drive space to put things. When I go back for fall break I'm probably going to have to buy another bigger hard drive.

Go to http://www.warofthering.net/downloads/fonts.shtml it has a lot of different Lord of the Rings fonts' I'm sure the one you're looking for will be there. I don't think I'm going to be home for the 16. I'm coming home on the 20 or the 19 unfortuantely, I believe...

Relative to what? anonymous September 26 2003, 01:43:46 UTC
I'm not geek, and never got 'edjumicated' at a geek school, but isn't the quote "Wow, that shot approached relative velocity" just plain wrong? Shouldn't he have expressed what the velocity is relative to? Or did he perhaps mean "terminal velocity"?

Do other geeks berate one another when one makes a geek faux pas like that? Or do they just assume that the other guy most be thinking on a higher plane then any of them and make a collective "I see....."

P.S. Thank you for inventing the word 'edjumicated' for me Robin. I owe you a nickel every time I use it. 8o)

Oh, I know it didn't make any sense, but I think that also increased it's humor. We all realized it made no sense, but just the fact that he was trying made it completely geeky.
