"I am sorry Akihiko-san." Sirius cries behind him. Akihiko isn't even sure what's going on, what they had even been doing. The ground is moving beneath him, dribbling a bright red trail that slowly recognizes as blood.
"Whu?" He grunts tiredly, finally finding his bearings- he must be hanging over Sirius' shoulder, because he can see the robots legs and feet from up here.
"Somethin' happen?" His head is pounding, thumping a dull beat through his skill and lower neck where it meets with sizzling, fresh pain. That must be the source of the steady flow of blood- his shoulder feels like it's been blown wide open.
"You told me not to hold back, so I switched weapons and- I seem to have underestimated the damage an explosive would cause."
"...Oh." Akihiko mutters, the world dimming before his eyes just as he catches sight of the familiar tiles from the Clinic.
"S'ok."

It's not long before Demi-Gods have to start performing their duties. They mature quickly compared to mortals, and the more they grow the more powerful their magic becomes. Unfortunately, Thanatos isn't always sure how he's meant to encourage his childrens work.
"Pass me the lamb, Teo." He watches his son carefully, rather suspicious at the way he stumbled into his chair at the dinner table.
"Uh..." The dark haired boy runs his hand through already messy hair, staring at the table with a blank look. "...Who?"
Dea snickers at the other side of the table.
"Lamb, Teo." He grunts. What is wrong with this boy? He had better just be tired, and completely messed up. How on Earth did his son manage to get stuck with such a specific realm?
"Oh, yeah. I love that guy." His drooping wings and slurring kind of makes it obvious what's going on- at least Dea has to work alongside him to reap anyone she poisons. Teodor on the other hand, doesn't really need any guidance on his use, it's kind of self-explanatory ( ... )

There's something deeply uncomfortable about meeting Nyx the first few times, even if she is in a human body. If anything it's the underlying power that sends Artemis rearing in the back of her mind, not that the Goddess is actually doing anything with it.
"I hope for all of our sakes that your Father is a reasonable man." Nyx (it's still strange to think of the lady across the table from her as Nyx) takes another sample of the sweet ice-cream. Sensations and smells are always different in a human body, or at least she hopes so since the Creator of the Universe is eating ice cream in winter ( ... )

Thanatos often suspected Hypnos of foul play in his dreams, but even after thousands of years this takes the cake. Perhaps because he's worked on the details of the dream to such an extent that it all feels perfectly routine, even if it's all wrong ( ... )

"Mitsuru, you don't have to shoot me! It...it'll work out." He stutters in fear, glances down at the Last Meal he could have had. Steamed rhubarbs, with a side of boiled rhubarbs in rhubarb sauce.
His favourite.
"I can't raise my children with a Crabman, Thanatos. ...I loved you." She sniffles, and then he's overwhelmed by the searing hot lead lancing through his chest-
"Gah!" He awakes in a cold sweat, gasping for breath loud enough to bring Mitsuru into what looks like a much more peaceful way to awake. She watches him blearily, clasping a comforting hand to his bare stomach as he tries to calm down.
Did he just dream he was dead? Dead as in, mortally dead? That's...a strange one, for sure. He's unsure of just how much he can blame on Hypnos for all of that.
"You okay?" Mitsuru hums sleepily, stroking his belly lightly. It's enough to coax him into lying beside her again, and she ( ... )

Thanatos is rather thankful at times that he has a determined (defacto?) wife. While she isn't used to some of the more simple tasks of day to day life, she has an almost frightening focus when it comes to solving an obstacle.
Which is why he isn't surprised when he catches sight of Mitsuru carrying a ladder past through the kitchen window. Sure, she does things. But physical labour isn't really necessary when you live with a God.
"What are you doing?" He leans casually out of the window, lazily drinking a hot mug of cocoa. At least in Farmville he doesn't have to be wary of his cocoa at all times, although he kinda misses the familiar paranoia.
"Come see for yourself!" Mitsuru huffs, clearly frustrated. He shrugs, and ambles his way into the yard lazily. Is there something wrong with the roof?
Oh, maybe there are fireworks!
"Dea." She hisses, and he immediately knows it's not fireworks (unless Dea made them). "Has decided it would be a splendid idea to follow in your footsteps. Did you show her this ( ... )

"Please show extreme caution in there, Kanami-chan." Sirius asks with surprising calm for someone with the top of their skull pulled off. "It is extremely sensitive equipment, related to my cognitive abilities."
"Yeah, I know." She mutters, brushing stray strands of blonde hair behind her ear.
"And do not touch anything with your bare fingers, it could interfere with artificial synapse-"
"Okay! Just...stop distracting me." He can tell her heartbeat is picking up with frustration, and decides to keep his mouth shut. It would be terrible if her finger were to slip after all, or if she were t-

"Damn, bitch!" Sirius yells in a voice completely unlike his. In actual fact its a collection of observed inflections, tones and the different slang used by gangsters. It seems distinctly wrong coming from Sirius, and Kanami freezes uncomfortably ( ... )
