I'm so very tired with it all, probably because I'm mildy sick. Did I catch this from Jin? I heard there was a stomach flu going around. I just want to rest and not wake up.. for a while. I think i'll be better tomorrow, I'm pretty strong. Last time I was sick it was exactly like this, I just had a good night's rest and felt much better the next ( Read more... )

if you want to make money reselling electronics/things, try the hot deal forums at fatwallet.com, or another forum. the margin on items there are occasionally large enough ($20+) to justify the time you spend on ebay, the post office, and calling for your rebates. fry's items almost never are. $109 - $60 rebate + $10 taxes + $6 ebay fees + $6 paypal fees = "real cost" of $71. so you make $14--and $85 is what the highest ones are selling for, down to $71, random chance--and you have to drive to fry's, and wait on the rebate, and spend all that time thinking. although, most people don't care if you have the upc or not, just state it in the auction. for more info just ask. i spent my summer after sophomore year doing that :)

Paypal shouldn't be charging you $6 to transfer money...Unless you have like a business account then people who use credit cards let Paypal take a chunk of your money. Doesn't cost me anything. Thank god for them letting me change back to a personal account after I screwed up and upgraded.

And, ah, fatwallet. I look at it every once in a while...Too bad I don't have a credit card for myself yet, otherwise...heh. This is probably why most of us attempt to make money through Fry's or our own stuff...

paypal converts you to a business account once you receive $100 (or some number there) in a single month. basically, if you plan to sell anything at all, unless it's only once a month, you pay.

mm... yeah, you'll need one to do anything online. :)

Hm...I do believe I got some $150-$225 in one month, but they didn't automatically convert me into business. Oh who knows. Business makes me lose money anyway, heh. Too bad about the credit card. I was supposed to get one back in February...
