HELP!

I just found out the my cable Internet company doesn't service the area I'm looking to move to... in NW Chicago. Is Comcast the only option out there? Or is there another service I'm not aware of?

Unfortunately, it only came up with Comcast as well. :(

It's a strong possibility Comcast is your only option.
Firstly, why does it matter who your cable vendor is?
And secondly.. NW burbs? why? ;)

1) Because Comcast virtually rapes their customers for money. 2) Not NW burbs. NW Chicago.

might want to check at best buy, they have different companies for internet connection. Maybe dish or sateillite

Dish is a nasty option anonymous February 21 2005, 18:19:50 UTC
While the point is moot now, getting dish service is bad for 2 reasons:
a) reception is dodgy at best
b) download speeds may be acceptable, but uploads are, and it WILL require a land-line connection to send upstream packets.
