Crazy Week

Me on the news...

I was headed off to work at zero dark thirty Monday morning and was greeted with water rushing across the bottom of my street with debris moving down the hill, through the woods and off into the creek. Most of the debris consisted of my wooden fence, bees, split wood and cinder blocks. I had about 3/4 of a million bees, all lost ( Read more... )

I'm so sorry to hear about your bees and equipment. This has been such a bizarre and difficult experience. I hope your family remains otherwise unscathed.

yeah, my actual house is on a ridge line that overlooks my neighbors, so we're fine. Thanks for the good wishs!

My neighbors thought I was nuts,erecting my fence with a cloud of homeless bees to keep me company. I could have used some help. They watched at a "safe" distance

On a serious note, sorry about the bees. I understand that honey bees are disappearing, and seeing as they are so important to our ecosystem, I applaud you for your (thwarted) efforts. Personally, bees and I have a delicate relationship...I don't swat at them and they don't sting me...
