Financially it wasn't the best decision for me either obviously, heh, but I hope you get to see it at some point. Though I will say there are probably other countries worth prioritizing first :)

And yes, when I skimmed your journal there wasn't much to catch up on, ha. I hope things are going well with you!

One of these days there will be a thing such as no outside life pressures, no stress, and unlimited time - and maybe we can get back to it more easily.

Hello, stranger:) I am still alive, waaaay behind on LJ, and managed to survive a not very happy summer. (One calamity after another; feel free to read my LJ, where I usually posted only about twice a month). Your trip to Switzerland sounds lovely. Ancestral home? or some other reason to visit? My kiddo wants to go to Colorado over Christmas break and wants me to go with him, but I think money (lack of) will be a serious obstacle, at least for me.

I've caught up on your LJ, and yeesh - life is never easy for you Anne :( As always, I hope things go smoothly, and you and your family find an even keel!

We'll so with some other reason :) Long story summarized: it was a trip for my mother. EVERY time we've watched the Sound of Music since I was a kid she's talked about wanting to see the Alps. And since Switzerland had a bit more interesting than Austria...it won. Money is always the obstacle to travel though, isn't it? I'm making it work so far, but short changing a lot of other areas for it while having no children to take care of, ha (and paying off a staggering credit card bill after).
