I'm sure girls like you, but nobody wants to be the rebound girl, you know? And with the history you and Angie had - you two have been off and on since, what, Freshmen year? - that's bound to be what they'd see themselves as.
Maybe you can just find yourself a good friend with benefits?

I may want a rebound girl right now but that doesn't mean that I am not open to the option of finding someone special to be with. I just want someone to fill the void and maybe be a little bit more than a rebound. I want S.O.S.

I understand that, and I'm not saying that you're just gonna go from chick to chick. I'm just saying that that's probably how girls would see it at this point - that's how I would see it anyway.
You say that nobody is interested in you - are you interested in anybody? If you are, what's the harm in flirting a bit, maybe going on a group date thing, asking to the movies - you know, the usual progression into "dating territory."
And don't say you're shy.
I wouldn't believe that for a second. =)

to be honest with you steve the only reason that i can think of that would make girls think twice about getting with you would be because you're always busy. ya know? most girls like lots of attention but they're not gonna want to be with someone who alreday devotes 99% of his attention to school, and work, and rotc, but really i dont think that its because of youre looks or anything, so you need to stop beating yourself up over that. you'll find a girl steve, sooner or later, trust me!

i can think of a lot of things that girls wouldnt like about u....

no, but seriously. one of the main reasons why i think that girls are turned away is because, most of the girls that DO know you, know fo your and angies past. and seeing how you guys were in a relationship, then that would turn them away. that and the fact that in some cases, your relationship qualities lack in the areas that may turn girls away.
to be honest, if you and angie are meant to be, you will be. but if not, then youll both find true happiness with someone else!
