Made it home despite the snowstorm. Nothing whatsoever to report, just a constant coffee drip, cooking with Dad (totally random stuff from gingerbread to lengua tacos), running, zoning out in front of the tv, and going to bed early. Not a bad life for a week ( Read more... )

Lengua is my favourite meat ever, and I have to admit that I am shocked to see anyone else on my flist mentioning it, much less as something to be cooked and eaten. XD Whoo!

It is very tasty stuff! I am not really used to it, as it's not that common in upstate NY (although my dad did grow up eating it in farm country), but I bet it's a lot easier to find in California.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Natalie MacMaster! Maybe I will check into the Providence thing too...and see if she's playing in Boston...mmmm, fiddle music. :-)
