I'll spout my mouth off at anyone who will listen about my pet causes! *grins* I've seen so many people's eyes glaze over that I read the signs now and don't push it when it's just not getting through to them, but in general, I get highly passionate about what I think is right and wrong and I'm not going to keep my mouth shut on those topics.

I generally don't get involved in actual projects, though, because I hate following through (odd, that, because I'm a J; are there any other ENFJs hesitant to commit themselves to projects?).

Yeah, don't you just HATE the glazed-eye thing? I mean REALLY, just when you're getting into the last good 20 minutes of statistics concerning the six hour presentation on your favorite topic, they have the nerve to just leave in their minds to the sunny beaches of the Bahamas...or something.

Yeah, I'll rant for as long as I have a willing victim....eh-hum...interested party who will be willing to sit there and say "Uh huh.....yeah.......I agree.....yeah, I've heard something about that........yeah....." for awhile.

But the best is finding someone who will talk back about the same issue! Then it's an all nighter!

I get ridiculed taking a stand about things...boycotting taco bell, walmart, nestle, the meat industry, etc... but it energizes me to express my opinion about something that i think is important. Also, I was born on earth day. I always thought it was a sign :).

Ps. The taco bell boycott is over, we won!

What was the Taco Bell boycott for?

Taco Bell (and all the other Yum Brands fast food places) obtained tomatos by means of grossly exploited migrant tomato pickers who were paid starvation wages of 40 to 50 cents per 32-pound bucket of produce, denied the right to organize, unable to have pensions, overtime, health insurance and other labor benefits, etc. Taco Bell recently agreed to negotiate with the Coalition of Immokalee Workers, so the boycott is over. It was nice being able to tell all my friends who scoffed and insisted that such things are useless. I know I can't boycott everything that I discover a moral objection to, but every little bit counts, right?

I have causes that I care about..my biggest being the environment. I helped out at booths like you're talking about at my last college and was active in the environmental club there.

Unfortunately, I have little motivation to act on my own. Once I got involved in the club, I participated in events and did what others told me to do, but I don't initiate and I don't bring passion out in the help I do give, but I hope that I someday will. I'm majoring in environmental studies and want to do something that will help the environment somehow if only I could be motivated.
