The dichotomy of body and spirit

Following on from the recent thread about idealists attitudes to religion and spirituality, do you think idealists are more accepting of the dichotomy between body and spirit whereas rationals are more likely to consider this a false dichotomy

Is this being open minded or just "hedging your bets"? ;)

I do think that Idealists are more likely to not rule out the possibility of other realities than Rationals though - a completely egocentric frame of reference does not seem "ideal".
