freedom of belief: oppressive freedom?

i guess the title "Idealist" can be changed to "someone who believes that People at large should be allowed to freely believe in what they choose to believe in" in this case.

Maybe a short version of the question I'm aiming at is: hoe does one oppress an oppressor and still claim to advocate a freedom of belief?
