Magus' story isn't really finished in Chrono Cross. He's just referred to in a way that makes it seem as though he kept in touch with Lucca after the events of Chrono Trigger. Radical Dreamers gives a more complete account of Magus' life after CT, but it isn't canon.

The Chrono Trigger retranslation is at http://www.chronocompendium.com/Term/Retranslation.html. I personally don't find it to be an ideal replacement for the Woolsey translation, but it's definitely a useful supplement.

Dreamstone Before Lavos anonymous April 23 2009, 05:17:43 UTC
Doesn't Ayla have Dreamstone (huge red shiny rock) before Lavos crashes into the Earth? That's the reason the party went to 65m B.C. in the first place. The dreamstone could not have come from Lavos.
