Absolutely one of the best articles on GMing I've read, and I've read a lot. "Wait a minute, why are we writing an outline before we figure out a plot?" was absolutely brilliant. Thank you for this amazing, enlightening read.

Nice job. I think one of my weak spots as a DM has always been writing logical, well-thought plots that progress well. I tend to really get bogged down when I try to write a detailed adventure and applying your methodology might help me cut the useless parts out of my adventure and create better adventures with less prep time. Furthermore, I'm a sandbox DM that tends to get frustrated when my player's aren't self-motivated in their actions. This article caused some introspection that made me realize that a well-thought plot might be what's really needed to get them into the game. Thanks.
