non-sweet snack suggestions?

Hello, lovely domestics!

I need to bring a non-sweet snack to my moms' group on Friday. Any suggestions? Most of these women are on diets, so I want to bring something fairly healthy. I love trying new recipes so feel free to spam me! :)

WW has some hummus-type dips that might be good. Although I haven't tried them personally! Aren't I helpful? :) I have made a hummus out of white beans or Great Northern beans that is really tasty and healthier than store-bought hummus. I can dig up a recipe for that if you want.

I've made some of WW's muffins, too, and they are *really* good and not overly sweet. You could do mini versions and make them go farther. I highly recommend the Carrot Orange Ginger ones - that's been my breakfast and late afternoon snack when I need one for two weeks now.

Fruit with fruit dip

Homemade hummus or bean dip with baked tortilla chips

Muffins - maybe made with applesauce instead of oil to make them healthier

Mini frittatas/crustless quiches (made in a mini muffin pan) - you can make them with veggies (like spinach) and egg beaters instead of eggs

Pinwheel things - you can use low carb tortillas, spread on some flavored low-fat cream cheese, top with lunchmeat, then roll up, pop in the fridge, then slice. It would be good with flavored tortillas - I've found spinach/herb, garlic/herb, and sundried tomato high fiber tortillas for wraps in the bread aisle at Walmart.

Ooh, seconded on the pinwheels. You can do all kinds of fun stuff with that. I like adding a little asparagus to a proscuitto roll-up.

Maybe sushi would work too

Ideas:

Tea sandwiches - you can do smoked salmon with Laughing Cow Light cheese (instead of cream cheese) of near every flavor on Oroweat Active Health bread - or cucumber sandwiches

Deviled eggs made with fat free mayo

Crudites (just veggies)

Pretzels (depending on the group's particular diet)

Gosh, I can think of tons of others - I'm gonna get some work done and come back to you on this.
