i had not heard half of those words ever. timbit? what?

Tim Horton was a Hockey Player who had played for Toronto and later Buffalo. After his playing he opened a framchise of Donut shops aptly named Tim Hortons. There were some smaller donuts which were more like little balls of sugary dough. They were called Timbits and you could get a whole box of them for about a buck.

Tim was killed in a car accident, before his donut chain really took off.

There was crude joke that was popular here that asked what was the last thing they found on the dashboard of the car..the punchline was TImbits. I.e. Bits of TIm.

SO when people had very violent session of yacking (puking) they would say agh! I'm coughing up Timbits.

All pretty grotesque really, but people love to chide a celebrity.

My plane ride from Vancouver, BC to Seattle, WA was almost missed because I bought a pack of 20 timbits and an ice cap at the airport. I want an ice cap right now.
