I've done a lot of reading on this subject, because it fascinated me when I first learned about it. I am a firm believer that at least one, if not all of them, survived. Dunno if they show the television program "Mythbusters" there or not, but they spent an entire episode attempting to prove that then men couldn't have possibly survived. Their conclusion was that, due to currents in the Bay, as well as the tide at the time of escape, they would've most certainly drowned. I still disagree.

It's a fascinating subject. We should sit down with a glass of red and discuss it at length.
