If we really want to do the project of getting satirical arguments for or against ballot measures in the voters pamphlet for the November election, we don't have much time.
  • The deadline for submission is Aug. 26.
  • We'd need to raise either $500 or get 1000 signatures. Here's the form. Instructions are at the end.

If you get someone to write it (may I nominate Christen), I will do what I can to raise money or signatures from a distance.

If you get something good, i think it's possible we can raise enough money. The time line's the trouble. (And then how do we get it there? Fax? I will have to recheck the form.)

talk on the sweater list so far has $200 in the pot, 'cause 1000 signatures before tuesday seems tough. no one's stepped forward to write yet, but Mykle might just be gestating something.

Yeah, i have a pie party posted to my "PDX" group because it's SEKRIT. Or because i didn't want to be spamming people with invites for things they couldn't get to.
