Week 0 -- Introduction(s)

The first thing Piere noticed about the "most powerful" man in the world was his short stature. Piere himself wasn't tall by his people's standards, but this "Emperor" had to be a whole head shorter than him. Surely his people would have preferred a man who could come across as powerful and imposing as the country he ran ( Read more... )

They say to start off with something gripping. THIS, my friend, was GRIPPING! The first thing Piere noticed about the "most powerful" man in the world was his short stature. So perfectly done. Not a wasted word. The lyrical quality was sublime. Mmmyummy!

Really quickly.. Piere with only one r? Not that it doesn't happen, I know! I just want to be sure! =D

Really great! Just really great crisp writing. Are you continuing with it throughout the season? So many fiction writers so far! I'm super stoked! =D

Aw, thanks. =D The line came to me at work and I couldn't let it go, so I'm glad it worked for someone other than me!

And yes, Piere with one r. It's what he told me (he's brand fucking new to me so I am trusting him on that one...)

I will probably play in this particular world most of the season but probably not this particular story-thread. :)

I always feel like the most fun way to tackle to LJ Idol would be just to create a fictional guideline and then let the topics roll with it.

I'll be quite interested to see someone play with that again cause it's always fun reading.

I may or may not be doing that, actually. This is just where my brain took me for this particular prompt. We'll see if I'll stick to this particular universe. :)

(And a lot of people don't like having to pay attention to continuity! But chances are if I stuck to this 'verse I'd be playing with various aspects of it I don't get to explore much... for the sake of worldbuilding, perhaps.)

Aw, thanks. :) I'm not sure if it's gonna tie in to any other pieces later in the season or not but we'll see.

Well if it does, it does - if it doesn't, it doesn't. As seen in my intro, I'm a big fan of starting stuff then putting them aside ;)

I have plenty of things I've started and set aside -- and this piece is already actually part of a much larger 'verse, it's just a part I haven't played with (much). So there's that, at least? :)

An interesting kind of introduction-certainly a singular approach that kept me reading through to the end.

Cheers...

Interesting way to start off. I'll be interested to see where this leads with Piere et al!

Good Luck!
