so i had an interview this morning for this 20hr/wk $10/hr+travelstipend year-long internship at this qpoc org on the south side and the ppl basically spent the whole time telling me how awesome i was and how i more or less had the job but they had to go through the formalities of interviewing other people

Ugh my dad sent me an email telling me how proud he was of me because of my GRE scores and really it just makes me feel like a shitty person for, I don't know, being a disappointment in other ways and because, I don't know, I could be like the perfect daughter but am willfully choosing not to be and

My mom's parents are getting pretty old (seventysomething and eightysomething respectively, I guess), and I only see them every couple of years, since they live a few continents away.
