Writing (OK, if I will be honest here, anything requiring concentration by more than one brain cell at a time) seems to have been a struggle recently.
I don't know why. It's just... slow. Not quite writer's block, more writer's wobble - the sort that makes you agonise over every single blasted word, or look at your half-completed draft and then close it again without having so much as deleted a surplus adverb.
However, I made myself finish the Eagle fic I've been tinkering with since I can't quite remember when, and posted it although I'm not really entirely happy with it. It's here:
The Time Before All concrit gratefully received, because I really can't see the wood for the trees any more with this one!
Meanwhile the family recently sat down to watch some Mighty Boosh DVDs that a friend gave us a while ago. After about 30 seconds the others were saying 'Why have we never ever heard of this? It's hilarious!' and I was thinking 'why have I never ever heard of this? It's SO slashy!'
So of course I had to go and look for fiction, and of course there was loads, so I am never ever going to get any work done ever again. But at some point I think I'll have to write something in this wacky universe, if only because it's so totally different from the other fandoms I write in. Should be an interesting challenge.
Maybe just what I need to overcome my writer's wobble...
