As some of you may already know, Chris got offered the job at MIT!!! I'm so proud of him and happy for us. Our both being able to get good-seeming jobs in a fun-seeming new city is, like, my life goal's realized. It's also just a huge relief ( Read more... )

Well...end of May -- remember I need to miss a retreat.

If you LEAVE in mid-May, a week later is the end of May. Sheesh, I thought you worked at MIT or something.

Do your mathematics however you want. I simply must be sure I am unavailable for any/all retreats.

If you continue to publicly sass me, I will schedule a retreat in our home. I'm thinking... group writing of a mission statement, box lunches with mayonaise-based "salads," and something involving those giant Post-It's. Oh, and trust falls.

Congrats to all. Arlington is nice ... buses to Harvard Sq where you can get the subway. I would rent for a year so you can get the lay of the land ;o)

Agree 100% about renting first.

I should mention to those who are familiar to Boston that Chris is actually at MIT's Lincoln Labs out in Lexington. :)

LOL - he's in the boonies and you are in the heart of the city. Arlington is next to Lexington and may still be worth a look (although it has been a few years since I lived there)

Yay!! So what will he be doing for MIT?

I second the notion of renting for a year before buying. Boston will be GORGEOUS in May, what a great time to be residence hunting and exploring. :)

I'm SO excited.

Chris' job has always been hard for me to explain/understand. At MIT, he will be a "GIS Specialist/Systems Administrator" at Lincoln Lab, a research and development center funded by the US Department of Defense. Basically, he will build web applications for geospatial data. So... yeah. ;)
