Are you on pinterest? I've been pinning a ton of outfit ideas on there in preparation for my new job (not sure if you've had a chance to read...I start a new job on 7/30 after 8 years at my current one!). My new job is business professional dress - not even business casual. Big change after wearing jeans and steel toed boots most days of the last 11 years!
I've found a bunch of stuff at Kohls (of course - it's my first place to shop always). I found a bunch of knit jersey dresses that I can throw a cardigan or blazer over, layer with tights in the winter, etc. They also had a pretty good selection of basics like pencil skirts, a-line skirts, coordinating blazers, pants, etc. Then a bunch of cute but inexpensive shirts to layer under. I also found some cute stuff at The Limited, Loft, and NY and Company. I tried to come up with a game plan before I went shopping, so I knew what pieces I was looking for. And most everything I bought is pretty mix and match.
I am on Pinterest but not lately. I didn't have Internet until recently, but even before that, Pinterest was doing this weird thing where it would give me a few of my boards to pin stuff to. What up with that?
I do like a lot of stuff at Kohls -- especially Vera Wang -- but there is not one that close to me. I did take your advice today and sought out a Loft. I scored a cute dress there and combined with a dress and two pairs of pants I got at Express, a tank from H&M and the little blazer I got from Limited, I think I have reached nearly the limit of what I am willing to spend for now. I have some stuff -- IF my stuff ever arrives -- but really I am CHEAP. :)

Kudos for dumping the stroller! I suspect the nanny's are more concerned with convenience than exercise for the kid.
Hope the daycare works out!

I might have to hit that outlet center some weekend when I have the car.
