Dear "Live" Journal,
October in New England is living up to ALL my expectations.
1. Chris and I had last Monday off, so we took a road trip down to NYC to visit our friends the Newtons. It was perfection. We (slumber) partied in their cool Brooklyn apartment, had lunch and enjoyed the views of Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty in Brooklyn Bridge

In terms of Mass.,you should let me know if/when you wanna do a day trip out to the country aka Western Mass. So beautiful in the fall! I miss it.
You’re also only like 5 hours from Montréal!

You know, I wondered if that park was new. It was huge and absolutely immaculate. We were there all afternoon and only saw a portion of it.

However, thank you for the WW rec -- I've lost about 30 pounds since March. I'm plateaued at a size 14 at the moment, and have been taking it easy for a bit, but it's way better than the pushing-18W I was rocking at the beginning of the year. :)

In addition to showing me which foods are really not worth the calories, I think just having to record most food makes me a lot more mindful (i.e. uses my laziness against me). For instance, almost all fruit and vegetables are point-free, so I reach for them first because I don't have to record them. In contrast, foods prepared at most restaurants are complicated to calculate, so I'm more likely to say, "Fuck it! I'll make it myself."
In conclusion, you can use some of the tenants of WW without having to pay for it:
1. Eat mostly fruits and vegetables
2. Record everything else
3. Avoid eating at restaurants
4. Profit
