So. I haven't been watching much of anything...at my normal pace. And have been posting random thoughts on a Tumblr account. But that Tumblr account is not giving me the gratification of actual interaction. SO HERE I AAAAAM.

Oh hey I just finished this and YES I AGREE WITH ALL THESE THINGS.

Particularly the physicality of Oguri Shun's character. I loved what he did with it. It's so wonderful to see him really pulling off naturalistic, non-manga-adaptation acting, and so effectively.

1) There is no romanticizing of Hyuga's social ineptitude.AND ALSO THIS. The episode after the spoilery thing happens, when Makoto is the one in charge of the social makeover training montage, is sooooo satisfying ( ... )

Yup, Aibu Saki was in Attention Please! and also Buzzer Beat (as the cheating girlfriend--she gave that character so much depth and vulnerability) and Zettai Kareshi. I haven't seen it, but I hear Utahime is good. Oh, and Kaseifu no Mita. It seems like in everything I've seen she's always either a femme fatale or a bumbling innocent--but she's done a lot of dramas I haven't seen, so I hope she's getting a wider range of roles. Not that she doesn't rock those!

And yes, it was kind of uncanny how much those two look alike--and they certainly played it up with their hair styling

The hair styling cracked me up. XD Definitely Yuko and Asahina were uncanny, and I thought Hyuga and his mom looked plausibly related too. :) I love attention to details like that.

I feel that's the true feeling of all those "noble sacrifice" cliches that get so annoying, because you don't know why people are just martyrously leaving their One True Love. But with this arc, it's palpable how she feels superfluous, and he hasn't made any gesture of ( ... )
